Mindfulness Classes w/Christy Bondy

Youth | Little Lotus
Little Lotus class is geared for children ages 3-5 and parents, and teaches self-regulation, mindfulness and social emotional learning through fun games, movement, music, art, and stories. Session length is 30 minutes.

Youth | Budding Butterflies
Children ages 6-9 join us for our Budding Butterflies program. This class presents the beginning principles of mindfulness including awareness of breathing, body scans, and loving kindness practices. Participants will engage in activities including circle time, storytelling, improv, dance. Session length is 45 minutes.

Youth/Pre-Teen Blooming Orchids
Discover mindfulness through the arts including journaling, art, movement, music. Activities include vision boarding, sound spas, coloring, creative movement, and more! This class is for ages 10-13. Session length is 1 hour.

Teen | Exploring Iris
Teens ages 14-17 explore the path of self-regulation, mindfulness, and resilience through movement, guided meditations, journaling, art. This self-discovery class teaches skills to calm and focus the mind including guided imagery, body scans, breathing exercise and more. Session length is 1 hour.


About Christy

Christy loves using creative play to spark the imagination of children through storytelling, music, movement, visual arts, and theatre. She has been passionate about self-discovery through the arts her entire life. Her career began as a Program Assistant at the Arts Guild of Old Forge, Inc. in the Adirondacks. She taught drama camps for kids, and worked with programs registrants, parents, and volunteers to design programming to complement artist in residence programming. In 2001, she moved to North Carolina and became a Children’s Librarian creating 200 programs for youth 0-18 annually.
