Adult Trapeze

This class will cover the basics of hanging, dangling and floating on a static trapeze. Build strength while having fun; release tension and find length and space in the spine, shoulders and neck. Improve overall endurance and flexibility, learn play and practice structures incorporating basic low-flying trapeze vocabulary, and increase your knowledge and skill w/ new hangs and aerial maneuvers. Skills progression builds on vocabulary to include spinning and swinging, as well as improvisation.

In this beginner class, you will learn essential body positioning and technique, as well as basic skills such as knee and ankle hangs, pullovers and much more. You’ll be hanging upside down by the end of your first class!

Missed classes may be made up in another silks class, any drop in class, or open gym. Make ups must be used during the current session as they do expire at the end of the series and will not roll over to the next one.

**Note: These series’ are generally 18 + Teen classes are also available,  however, if you are 12+  and this series fits your schedule best, you are welcome to enroll.**

FAQ’s

What should I wear?

Leotards, unitards, tights, and/or other tight-fitting clothing, etc….Yoga pants work great, and you want a top that isn’t going to ride up over your head when you invert. You will want to cover the midsection and the backs of the knees. Please do not wear jewelry as it may snag or rip the silks. No shoes needed and remember your water bottle!’
