Teen Aerial Silks – Beginner

This class covers all your aerial silk basics. Each student will learn climbs, inverts, locks, and slides on the aerial fabric. Students work in small groups and can practice new moves at their own pace. The class includes basic warm-up, conditioning (pull-ups, grip work and deep abdominal strengthening), and beginner moves, vocabulary and technique (climbs, splits, inverts, foot locks, ankle hangs, etc.)
No previous aerial experience required.
Missed classes may be made up in any drop in class or open gym. Make-ups must be used during the current session as they do expire at the end of the series and will not roll over to the next one.
Students are strongly encouraged and expected to move through the levels slowly and at their own pace. Students should plan to stay at each level long enough to build the body strength and skill level necessary to master all poses safely and expertly before moving onto the next level.
Drop-in rate is $29. However please note that drop-ins are typically not allowed after the first 2 weeks of a series, please email firstname.lastname@example.org to see if a drop-in is possible.
What should I wear?
Leotards, unitards, tights, and/or other tight-fitting clothing, etc….Yoga pants work great, and you want a top that isn’t going to ride up over your head when you invert. You will want to cover the midsection and the backs of the knees. Please do not wear jewelry as it may snag or rip the silks. No shoes needed and remember your water bottle!

Intermediate level Teens are welcome to join Adult Intermediate Silks Wednesdays 5:30 pm – 6:45 pm
