The Holiday Season is upon us, and whether that fills you with joy or dread, join Brye for an afternoon of deep and nourishing self-care for your entire being to carry you through it.

Current culture encourages us to disconnect, seek without, over-stimulate, push through, and
just keep going. In this workshop we’ll hold space to balance out that overwhelm with slowing down, drawing within, softness, reconnecting, stillness, and doing what feels best for you in the moment. Doesn’t that sound amazing?!

Restorative yoga gently relaxes deeper muscle and connective tissues than active yoga practices, releasing tensions you may not even be aware of through a practice of surrender and trust. It can also balance the energy of the body, calm the mind, and help reset the nervous

We will begin with a breathing and meditation practice, followed by a brief and slow warm-up. After gently awakening the body, we will come into stillness – finding 6-8 postures for 5-7 minutes at a time. The poses will all be on the floor and supported by as many props (blankets,
bolsters, blocks) as you need to feel completely comfortable, passive, and relaxed.

Intentionally carving out time for yourself in this way, especially during a time of year that can be extra stressful, can help you align with the inward and peaceful energies of fall and winter.

Brye, a 500-hour certified yoga teacher, has taught various styles and levels of yoga since 2008 – with a focus on beginners and the gentle side of things. She knows something magical happens when mindful movement is joined with the breath, and she strives to create a safe,
nurturing, and fun space in which to do this.
