Come join us at Cirque de Vol to experience the peaceful and powerful stress relief of Aerial Yoga. Students will enjoy deepening into yoga poses with the supportive assistance of an aerial yoga hammock. Accessible for all levels and beginners very welcome. A weekly aerial yoga practice is guaranteed to foster positive well being, flexibility, and fitness.

Beginner Aerial Yoga

Prerequisite for Flow or Power Aerial Yoga

Wednesdays 4:30-5:30pm
Tuesdays 7-8pm
Thursdays 5:30-6:30pm
Sundays 10:45-11:45am

This class is an absolute beginners introductory course to the aerial yoga hammocks, and a requirement for all beginner students who would like to try an Aerial Yoga Class. In this class we will learn basic techniques for getting in and out of beginner poses. Components include basic stretching, sitting, standing, conditioning and inversion poses on the fabrics.

This class is all you need to get you ready for one of our Flow Aerial or Power Aerial Yoga Classes.

Aerial Flow Yoga

Strengthen and Stretch

Mondays 5:45-6:45pm
Sundays 12-1pm

This class is great for deep stretch, core conditioning, and increasing flexibility–while having fun!  Students will explore basic yoga poses in a low-hanging aerial hammock. This class is great for anyone who wants an introduction to aerial yoga, as well as students that are continuing to develop a regular aerial yoga practice. No yoga or aerial experience required. All levels are welcome.

Please note the following contraindications:

Absolute

(meaning that aerial yoga should be avoided, may be able to discuss a restorative class with the hammock only 6-10 inches elevated from the ground)

  • Hiatal Hernia
  • Vertigo
  • Recent Surgery
  • Recent Concussion or Head Injury
  • Epilepsy
  • Recent Stroke
  • Botox (within 24 hours)
  • Pregnancy beyond the 1st Trimester
  • Propensity for Fainting
  • Inner Ear Conditions
  • Glaucoma
  • Sutures in any part of the body
  • Recent gashes, lacerations, or wounds
  • If you are taking any medications that can cause dizziness, light headedness, propensity for fainting, or extreme fatigue

(A gentle aerial yoga class may be an option, without inversions pending a discussion with your physician and/or proceeding with caution.
